Teapot and cup of tea

The teacher asks the student:

– In your opinion, between the teapot and the teacup, which one receives the tea?

The student replied that the cup of tea was received.

The teacher asked again:

– So the tea cup wants to receive tea, it must be higher or lower than the teapot.

The student said: “Yes, teacher, the tea cup must be lower than the teapot”.

The tea cup should be lower than the tea pot

Lesson: Know how to lower yourself

Life is the same; what you want to receive, you want others to give you value, teach and guide you, and you have to put yourself in a lower position. That is the lesson of humility!

If you are always proud and arrogant, think you are the best, and always say, “I know, I know”, then you will not get anything more because you put yourself up too high and consider yourself a cup. The water is complete; no one can add more.

The wise man and the ferryman

Once upon a time, long ago, there was a wise man who crossed a great river in a boat driven by a man, and on the way, the wise man spoke many stories about astronomy, mathematics, history and philosophy.

The wise man asked the ferryman:  – Do you know anything about philosophy?

The ferryman replied: – I have no education and only drive boats on the river all year round to earn a living, so I don’t know anything about philosophy.

Wise man: – Then you have lost a third of your life.

The wise man asked again:  – Do you know anything about mathematics?

Like the above answer, the ferryman said I don’t know.

Wise man: – So you have lost half your human life.

At this point, the ferryman asked the wise man: – Can you swim?

The wise man replied:  – I know a lot, from the east to the west, from ancient times, astronomy, geography, I have a lot of knowledge, but I can’t swim.

The ferryman calmly replied: – So you are about to lose your whole life because of the coming storm, and I can only swim to save myself!

Lesson: never think you are good; respect the difference

In this life, never think that you are good, and never feel that you are erudite. Since everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, respect that difference.

Life Lessons on Humility

Human life is the same, not only because of some achievements but bragging everywhere, looking down on others, and being arrogant.

You should learn to treat people humbly, be gentle with everyone, and cultivate your character to become a good person.

There is a saying: “The great sea at a low place can accommodate a hundred rivers”. The more “humble” people receive, the greater their ability to tolerate others.

Humility is a virtue, and at the same time, it is also a manifestation of a high level of human behaviour.
